Cross Country Mountain Biking is back at Swinley Forest.

After a long period, Cross-Country Racing is returning to Swinley. It hits back into the XC calendar in 2019 with a bang on September 8th 2019, when we will see Swinley Forest host a British Cycling Regional Race.

Swinley Forest is the perfect terrain for an XC event, with the contours of the forest allowing for progress that’s quick but never on the flat for long. It offers wide fire roads to sweeping and flowing single track.

The British Cycling affiliated XC race will take place on 8th September, as part of the wider Swinduro Bike Festival at Swinley Forest.There will be bike brands, street food stalls and refreshments, for post-race relaxing and watching other categories head back into basecamp.  For fuller details on the weekend’s events head to www.swinduro.com

The Swinley XC event will host all BC categories for both female and male racing, together with having a U12 category too. The course will be designed to allow for side by side racing, as well as allowing for some fantastic flowing single-track.  Throughout the course there will be trail features to test your skills and allow for racing from beginners to experts, to cover all types of riders and to allow progression.

It falls nicely before the Cyclo Cross season so for the crossover riders it will be a good event before your 4 months of CX kick off.
